The First 1,000-View Month For My Blog!

It was my birthday on Friday and the day was filled with some pretty pleasant surprises right from the start.

My wife went overboard through a series of thoughtful gifts (including taking me to buy some hockey cards!), my friends and family sent well-wishes throughout the day, and there was even a nice little surprise for me from this very blog.

When I logged in to check the final stats for the month of May I discovered that for the first time in the 19-month history of this blog I exceeded the magic number of 1,000 views in a single month!

To some this may not seem like all that big of a deal, but for me it’s a huge accomplishment, especially because I hadn’t expected that I would have achieved it just yet.

I started this blog largely to give myself an outlet to express my views and experiences about a hobby that I really enjoy, while also providing myself with a way to regularly work on my writing skills.

Gaining any sort of readership was pretty much an afterthought since I really had no idea how many people out there would care to read anything that I had to say.

Reaching the point that my blog is being visited more than 1,000 times in a single month is something that I can’t fully comprehend or believe.  I’m simply ecstatic that so many people have taken the time to visit and read some of my articles.

So to every single reader who has helped me reach this milestone I extend my most sincere thanks and hope that you’ll continue to follow along as I continue to chronicle my pursuit of a financially self-sufficient hobby!
